My Birds are back!

April 25, 2009

I know this doesn't really have anything to do with Stampin but it has a lot to do with me!

I told you before, I love Photography, there is hardly a day when I don't snap a picture of something! That's just who I am I guess!

Ever since last year I really got into "bird photography"! I love my birds and it is amazing how much I have learn! I had no idea how many different kinds of birds we even had in our back yard! I guess I just never paid attention to it before!

Spring is finally here so this week I made sure to setup all my bird feeders with some fresh seed, and my first visitors of the year are here! Beautiful "Purple Finches"! At first I thought they were "House Finches" but upon closer examination of the pictures I decide they are Purple Finches and they are beautiful! I love all the red on them! Soon the Yellow Finches will be back too, I just love those so much too!

So there, now you learn something new about me! LOL! Now, I got to go and make a little 2 year old a birthday card, so better get to it! See ya later!

Copic Fever!

Well, for a while now as I learn more and more about Stampin, reading, visiting blogs and looking around, one day I stumble into a site with some VERY pretty cards I notice this person was using COPIC MARKERS! I become quite interested in the subject and stared re-searching! The more I read the more intrigued and interested in the subject I got! So on my next trip to the city I set out to get a few of those
markers and star
trying them to see what the noise was all about! Needless to say I was hooked! Those things are amazing! though I must say, a person really needs practice though, specially when it comes to blending!

So, little by little I have been learning about the art of coloring with Copics and enjoying every minute of it! The one down size to this markers is definitely the prize, but . . . if you are lucky and do some search around the web, you can find some pretty sweet deals! Though for us Canadians is not as easy as it is for our fellow Americans! I guess what I like the most about this markers is that the colours are so vibrant and they are just lots of fun to use! So . . . here the card I made today, using them and of course other staff as well. Is the weekend so it is Birthday card making day!

One of my favourite Copics Site is "Kiyomi Krafts" by, Jenn Muraoka. I really appeciate the way she always takes an extra picture showing the Copic Markers used in the project, so I decided to do the same, hoping other will also appreciate it! I have also posted a few really helpful links about this subject to the right on my favourite links list, so make sure to check it out!

Easter Greetings!♦

A BLESSED EASTER SEASON TO ALL OF YOU!

I have been busy this weekend making a few Easter Greeting Cards to give away this Sunday! I found this set on eBay and loved it! It was love at first sight! Such a truthful and powerful message.

I have never been a fun of Easter eggs, chocolate and bunnies! It scares me to think that this is how my kids are going to see Eater someday, so we try to stay away from that kind of message as much as we can, or simply don't really make a big deal out of it, rather make sure we actively participate in the church and community activities of this week and experience the REAL meaning of Easter! God wouldn't expect any less from us, right? After the enormous sacrifice he did for us, I think this is the least we can do, don't you think?

So may you and yours, have a Blessed Eater Season, rejoicing in the Lord!

HE IS NOT HERE, BUT IS RISEN!

OK, now, back to the Cards! These are the things I used to make them!
